Strain Pcp21 has single phialides with conidia of different size and shape. It had elongated conidia of different size; the smaller (1 ± 0.25 µm length × 0.3 ± 0.09 µm width) being of similar shape to the larger conidia (3.2 ± 0.83 µm length × 0.9 ± 0.26 µm width) hence the smaller conidia are considered as microconidia. Other, larger, rounded conidia (2.4 ± 0.55 µm length × 1.5 ± 0.37 µm width) were observed but there were also other, smaller (0.6 ± 0.19 µm of diameter), conidia-like structures. The growth of these fungus after 7 days on PDA varied from 16 to 18 mm in colony diameter (n = 10). The upper surfaces of colonies were white in color, becoming beige as they grew older. The colonies also appeared more dust-like in texture as they aged. The undersides of colonies were beige, pale yellow or orange in color.
